Chapter 163: Koko Hekmatyar
Li Hongshen looked at the white-haired young girl in a women's suit before him, feeling the rich fluctuations of the world's power, and then glanced at the one-eyed female soldier not far away.
He turned his head to look at Rem, and asked, "Is this our new boss?"
Rem smiled slightly and nodded. "Don't underestimate Koko. She is Mr. Floyd's daughter and has been in the arms trade since she was 16. She is now HCLI's transport head for Africa and Europe. Mr. Floyd has handed the arms trade over to his children, so he arranged for us to come here. As for Chiquita, she is following Kasper, who is Mr. Floyd's son."
"Hello, Li. My name is Koko Hekmatyar. I'm glad you've joined my team."
Looking at the fair, delicate hand extended toward him, Li Hongshen grasped it firmly. This was a protagonist on the world stage; with someone like her around, he truly wouldn't have to worry about the world's power.
"My name is Li. It's an honor to join your team. I can act as a free agent. I'm good at both assault and sniping, and I'm still learning about demolition."
Koko Hekmatyar looked at the teenage soldier, who was a full head taller than her, with a sincere smile on her face.
Thus, Li Hongshen began a new journey following someone who appeared to be an arms dealer but was actually a protagonist of the world stage.
Over the following years, aside from Valmet, the one-eyed female warrior who had been with Koko the longest, Uncle Rem, and Li Hongshen, Koko's security team gradually expanded.
There was Lutz, a demolition expert who had come to visit his old teammate Rem, was charmed by Koko's presence, and decided to join the squad; Mao, an exceptional sniper from the Eastern Country who had retired due to an accident and been recruited by Koko.
There was also Ugo, a driver who was a former mafia member but disliked drugs; Lutz, born into a police anti-terrorism unit, who now served as the team's primary sniper.
In addition, there was Tojo Akihiko, who came from the intelligence agency's special research unit but retired because he could no longer stomach the military's actions, and R, whom only Li Hongshen knew was an undercover agent for the United States' foreign intelligence agency.
On this day, the team was waiting for an arms handover in a certain Eastern European country.
Koko announced that their team would be adding a new member and asked everyone to wait in the suite.

As everyone watched Koko push the door open and enter, accompanied by a young boy holding a handgun, Li Hongshen remarked aloud, "The newcomer is actually a teenage soldier too, and he's holding a handgun. How terrifying."
Hearing Li Hongshen's exclamation, everyone cast their gazes toward him, many of them filled with disdain, as if saying: "Anyone else has the right to say that, but certainly not you."
"Alright, alright, don't be scared."
"Tojo, give us a simple, easy-to-understand explanation of the current situation."
"There's no improvement. Our containers are still being detained at the port. The ones ordering the port to do this are the government's customs department, so we'll have to rely on Miss Koko to give them a call."
"It looks like they never intended to let our cargo pass from the very beginning."
With that, Koko glanced at Jonah, leaned close to his face, and said, "The situation is just like this. We need to get our things back. What do you think?"
"I don't need to know things like that. I only need to know where to go and who to kill."
"Rem, Valmet, Li, get ready to move! We're heading out."
……
"How do you feel, Li? As someone who also started out as a child soldier, what are your thoughts on Jonah?"
Li Hongshen sat inside a modified bulletproof vehicle, watching Koko's vehicle ahead, feeling the rapidly increasing fluctuations and absorbing the drifting world power.
Hearing the question from Uncle Rem, who was driving, Li Hongshen replied nonchalantly, "No particular feeling. He and I are different."
"What about Valmet?"
"You mean Jonah? I haven't even exchanged a single word with him yet, so I wouldn't know if you asked me. However, that kind of outstanding murderous aura is truly unusual. Oh man, Koko is in too much danger now. To think I let her get mixed up with such a dangerous child soldier. Every time a newcomer arrives, it's like this—she works herself way too hard. What if something happens to Koko?"
"Someone's following us. Stay alert."
"No rush. Let the newcomer prove himself first."
Li Hongshen showed no reaction to the cars tailing them on either side. Ever since he began following this world protagonist, scenes like this were child's play.
Watching Koko's vehicle ahead, the young soldier named Jonah directly reached out through the sunroof with an assault rifle and opened fire on the trailing cars.
"Hahahaha, he actually just started shooting right away! Hahaha, this is totally to my taste. He really lives up to being a child soldier."
Watching the laughing Li Hongshen and the young soldier shooting ahead, Valmet whistled. "He truly lives up to his child soldier origins. That pattern of behavior is cut from the exact same cloth."
"Hey, hey, that's going too far. I've never engaged in drive-by shootings in the middle of the street."
"Well, you may not have done drive-by shootings, but you have done drive-by bombings in the middle of the street."
"Alright, alright, it's our turn to make a move. That van up ahead looks like it's been bulletproofed—it's tough. If we don't intervene, the convoy will get split up, and then Koko up front will be caught in a crossfire."
Hearing Rem's words, Li Hongshen pulled two silver-white matte revolvers from inside his coat.
"Leave it to me, Uncle. Pull the car right alongside them."
Seeing the somewhat arrogant anti-terrorism unit personnel inside the van, Li Hongshen gazed coldly and fired two shots directly at the driver's seat, both rounds hitting the exact same spot.
Before the driver of the bulletproof van could even react, a hole was blown through the windshield, followed immediately by a headshot that finished him off.
The van swerved wildly, crashed through the highway guardrail, and plunged below the bridge with a massive crash.
"When dealing with enemies like this, this stuff is still the most useful."
Seeing Li Hongshen's handiwork, Rem broke out in a few cold sweats. Although this wasn't the first time he had witnessed such a scene, every single time, it completely shattered his understanding.
Of course he recognized the two revolvers Li Hongshen had drawn; he had even tried them out a few times at the shooting range himself. Firing them didn't feel like shooting a gun; it felt like operating a hand cannon.
Moreover, because these two revolvers fired Magnum rounds, even with muzzle brakes, the recoil would cause a shooter's wrists to throb with pain, and continuous firing could even cripple someone's wrist.
Yet Li Hongshen could effortlessly wield these two immensely powerful hand cannons in his hands, as if the fierce recoil didn't even exist.
And on top of that, he could use such hand cannons to achieve the miraculous feat of consecutively striking the exact same spot with one hand, making Li Hongshen seem more like a monster than a human being.
