Chapter 109: The Great Migration!
Three days later.
In the sky, a floating piece of land hovered. Yang Ye stood there alongside numerous cultivators. Besides them, several hundred figures clad in black robes were present.
At this moment, the cultivators standing at the edge of this airborne land all widened their eyes, gazing at the changes unfolding on Earth below.
Seeing Yang Ye and the others so shocked, many of the black-robed figures looked on with disdain. Though they said nothing aloud, their eyes seemed to say, “What uncultured bumpkins.”
Yang Ye had never witnessed such a spectacular sight.
Beneath his feet, in the ocean, several colossal whirlpools with diameters spanning hundreds of nautical miles appeared. The seawater was being drawn away, and the ocean surface rapidly receded, exposing vast stretches of seabed that transformed into land.
All the marine creatures were swept away with the draining waters.
In less than half a day, half of Earth’s ocean water had been siphoned off, leaving countless “lakes” behind.
Then, the entire Earth began to tremble.
Chunks of land rose abruptly and flew toward a massive vortex in the sky.
The Earth, stripped of several landmasses, looked as if it had been bitten multiple times by some unknown force. Torrents of magma gushed forth like flowing blood.
The lands inhabited by humans separated entirely from Earth, leaving only the territory of the Fusang Nation behind.
The people of Fusang were horrified. Five cultivators of Stellar Realm flew into the air and landed on the floating land where Yang Ye and the others stood.
Upon seeing their arrival, two black-robed figures immediately approached.
“Why aren’t you taking us with you?” demanded one Stellar Realm cultivator from Fusang, clenching his fist in anger.
He spoke in the language of Huaxia.
One of the black-robed men replied, “The migration of land requires the cooperation of the Guardians. Your piece of land has no Guardian, so the corresponding formation cannot be activated. It’s not our fault.”
“What!?” The Fusang cultivators cried out in unison.
Only then did they recall that over a decade ago, their Emperor had mobilized the Guardians to eliminate Yang Ye.
They had expected Yang Ye to be killed, but instead, the Guardians were destroyed by the Steward Mu.
At the time, they never imagined that without the Guardians, such a catastrophe would occur.
“But we are Earth’s people too! You can’t just abandon us!” one Fusang cultivator pleaded, his voice tinged with desperation.
The black-robed man said, “It’s too late now. The migration process has already begun. Besides... just look down there!”
He pointed below.
The Fusang cultivators looked down and were immediately stunned.
The land of Fusang had been submerged by the magma that had erupted from the former Huaxia region.
“Our country... our people... are gone...” The five Fusang cultivators were filled with grief, two of them even weeping bitterly.
Suddenly, one of the Fusang men turned and pointed at Yang Ye.
“It’s all your fault! If it weren’t for you, our nation wouldn’t have perished. There were tens of millions of us! You... butcher!”
With a “bang,” Zhou Hun stepped forward and struck the man’s face with a punch, sending him sprawling to the ground.
Yang Ye said coldly, “Not my doing. Even if it weren’t you Fusang, the entire Earth’s population would be doomed. Your people aren’t extinct. This migration will spare other nations, leaving at least a million people alive. If I wanted to wipe you out, it would take only a few words. I’m sure those other nations would expel the Fusang people from their lands.”
Yang Ye’s words left the five Fusang cultivators speechless.
After exchanging glances, they leapt into the molten magma below.
Watching the five quickly disappear into the glowing lava, Yang Ye sighed.
Facing the disfigured Earth, Yang Ye turned to a black-robed figure and asked, “How will the Earth be rebuilt?”
The black-robed figure replied respectfully, “Rest assured, within hundreds of thousands of years, countless meteorites and comets will fall upon Earth. This star will be reconstructed by us, reborn anew. Within a million years, Earth will once again have oceans and lands...”
After speaking, the two black-robed men saluted Yang Ye and then departed.
“Amazing!” Zhou Hun exclaimed. “They actually have the power to reshape a planet. When will we ever become that strong?”
Yang Ye smiled and patted Zhou Hun on the shoulder. “Don’t worry. That day will come.”
...
Through a gigantic vortex in space, dozens of landmasses removed from Earth’s surface entered one by one into a whirlpool formed by blue light.
This blue vortex was actually a vast teleportation formation.
Yang Ye’s group was the last to pass through.
Upon crossing the formation, a breathtaking scene unfolded before his eyes.
A colossal mountain shaped like the Chinese character for “mountain” floated in the cosmic starry sky.
Surrounding this great mountainous “character” were countless smaller peaks, each encircled by yet more mountains.
Massive blue rings and bands of blue light connected these numerous peaks.
Nezha pointed toward the large “mountain” peak in the distance. “That’s the main star where the principal clan resides. That area is known as the main star domain. Its size is beyond your imagination. To put it simply, a human compared to it is like a tiny atom compared to Earth.
“The smaller peaks around the main clan belong to the first-class star domain, inhabited by their slave clans. Further out, do you see those larger light circles? That’s the second-class star domain. Beyond that lies the third-class star domain...”
After Nezha finished, Yang Ye asked curiously, “In the universe, aren’t stars spherical? Why are these islands floating in space instead?”
Nezha explained, “These islands are stars too, just not spherical. The main clan concentrates all their power here, which makes ruling easier. If they were scattered throughout the vast cosmos, their power would be difficult to consolidate. You can think of everything before you as a massive spaceship in the universe.”
While Nezha spoke, the landmasses moved from Earth gathered in an outer space area, connecting to form a vast continent with a huge lake at its center. The water naturally came from Earth’s drained seas.
Once the land had fully formed, a blue light band suddenly shot out from a distant light ring, linking itself to the new land.
“This land lies at the outermost layer. It is a fifth-class star domain,” Nezha added.
