Chapter 140 The Abe Clan

"Abe no Seiya!"

The female Onmyoji stood up from the ground, her face filled with anger upon seeing that the person before her was Abe no Seiya!

"Long time no see, daughter of the Abe Onmyoji clan head—Abe no Seiyue!" Abe no Seiya looked at the female Onmyoji before him and said with a smile.

"Abe no Seiya, it really is you! Did you intentionally release the seal of Sadako's well? Our Abe family discovered that the seal on Sadako Island had been broken and that Sadako was once again plaguing Tokyo, so we brought several other Onmyojis to seal her away. Now it seems this was likely your doing!" As Abe no Seiyue spoke, her eyes carried a hint of deep-seated hatred, suggesting a shared past between her and Abe no Seiya!

"You've noticed as well. Sadako's resentment has grown stronger. She continuously accumulated power within the well, while the power of the seal, as time passed, only grew weaker and weaker, which is how Sadako seized the opportunity!" Abe no Seiya explained.

"Abe no Seimei!" Several Onmyojis who had just been knocked down by Sadako climbed back up from the ground, covered in bruises: "You traitor of the Onmyojis, back then you released the evil soul of the Yamata no Orochi and subsequently fled Tokyo. Another Onmyoji descended from the sky, stepping on a flying sword right into the center of the group: "Abe, you traitorous Onmyoji, I've finally caught you today!"

"Catch me?" Abe no Seiya smiled faintly: "Just you?"

Hearing this, Abe no Seirhi frowned deeply: "You certainly talk big. Very well, let me witness your current abilities!"

"Brother Fang You, stay out of this," Abe no Seiya said to Fang You, "this is a private grievance of the Abe family."

As he spoke to Fang You, Abe no Seiya materialized a talisman sword in his hand.

"Array swords, deploy!" Abe no Seirhi used talismans behind him to summon several spiritual swords, whose icy sword qi aggressively surged toward Abe no Seiya!

"Spellcraft, heavens and earth!" Abe no Seiya instantly condensed multiple talisman swords of his own and charged straight ahead!

In an instant, array swords clashed against array swords, sending ripples of spiritual energy bursting through the air!

Right at that moment, Abe no Seirhi swiftly stepped on his flying sword, darted rapidly behind Abe no Seiya, and thrust forward with a spiritual sword in hand, aiming to pierce him!

Abe no Seiya smiled slightly, pinching a crimson talisman between his fingers: "Spacetime Art!"

The very next second, Abe no Seiya vanished completely into thin air right before Abe no Seirhi's eyes!

"Where did you go?" Abe no Seirhi was seized by a wave of panic, when suddenly an incantation rang out from behind him!

"Shikigami Decree: Slaughter Fiend!"

Abe no Seiya suddenly reappeared behind Abe no Seirhi, immediately chanting an incantation to summon a Shikigami!

The summoned Shikigami possessed eight limbs and wielded terrifying, glistening blades dripping with a chilling aura. It launched a ferocious attack directly at Abe no Seirhi's back!

This Slaughter Fiend appeared to be an extremely brutal Shikigami focused entirely on carnage, specialized in taking lives, and certainly not something an ordinary Onmyoji could tame or control!

With Abe no Seiya summoning such a murderous Shikigami, Abe no Seirhi was knocked plummeting straight out of the air while flying on his sword.

Just as Abe no Seirhi crashed to the ground, his body numbed by the shock, the Slaughter Fiend lost control of its bloodlust and lunged forward again!

At that crucial moment, Abe no Seiya chanted an incantation, using his formidable spiritual power to forcefully recall the Slaughter Fiend!

"I'll spare your life today. I don't wish to kill. We are all Onmyojis of the Abe clan; whether you acknowledge it or not, I will never raise a hand against my own people!"

Having said this, Abe no Seiya turned and walked away, and Fang You quickly followed behind him.

"Darn you, Abe no Seiya!" Abe no Seirhi roared from the ground. His pathetic and disheveled state was laid completely bare before the surrounding Onmyojis, making him lose all his dignity and face!

Suddenly, at that very moment, the sky began to grow dim, and a massive heavenly serpent slithered through the air toward them. A human figure seemed to be riding atop the celestial snake!

"It's Tengu's serpent mount—the head of the Abe Onmyoji clan has arrived. Fang You, run!" Abe no Seiya said anxiously.

"Tengshe?" Fang You seemed to recall records in the Qimen Dunjia stating that the Tengshe resembled a python in shape but possessed a pair of wings, capable of flying through the skies and summoning wind and rain. It bore a striking resemblance to the Eastern flood dragon; although inferior to a true dragon, its power was virtually on par with one!

"Abe no Seiya, you've returned!" The voice from the sky was deep, heavy, and laden with threat!

"Clan Head, please don't harm my friend!" Abe no Seiya called out, stepping forward to shield Fang You behind him.

"How can we allow a foreign Onmyoji to meddle in the affairs of the Abe Onmyoji clan?" The gigantic Tengshe coiled and danced in the sky, whipping up flashes of lightning and howling winds and rain. Just the sheer spectacle of it was enough to terrify anyone.

"Father is here! Abe no Seiya, you can't escape this time!" Abe no Seirhi stood to the side, laughing with malicious glee.

"Spare my friend!" Abe no Seiya pleaded.

At that moment, the young child Taizan also stepped in front of Abe no Seiya: "Lord Abe no Seiya is a good person, please don't hurt him, I beg you!"

"You released the evil soul of the Yamata no Orochi, committing an unforgivable crime, and then fled Tokyo, refusing to repent even knowing your guilt!" The Abe Clan Head, hovering in mid-air, paused mid-sentence for a moment before continuing: "Such scandalous matters must not be overheard by a foreign Onmyoji!"

Suddenly, a bolt of divine lightning descended. Fang You was struck directly by the powerful spiritual thunder. The last thing he saw before losing consciousness was Abe no Seiya dropping to his knees: "I've run enough. I am willing to bear the punishment for my crimes!"
