Chapter 24: Exterminate Them All
"Jack! What are you doing!?"
When the Combat Star descended upon the Land of Light, a group of specialized Ultra warriors had already appeared at the edge of the starship, observing its every move with vigilance. As Jack led a contingent of Blue-tribe warriors from the New Space Garrison out from the Combat Star, the leader of these specialized Ultras shouted at him in fury.
He stood about forty meters tall, and behind him, a group of Ultras wielding peculiar shields were of a similar height. They looked strikingly different from typical Ultra warriors; the shape of their heads and the lines of their physiques were entirely distinct.
These were the forces permanently stationed in the Land of Light, known as the "Land of Light Garrison." Unlike most Ultra warriors, they possessed no beam techniques or other special abilities. Consequently, they were equipped with "Special Universal Shields," often referred to by the more common name "Photon Shields." Behind these shields, extending from the equipment on their right wrists, were energy blades known as "Photon Blades."
In reality, the power of the Land of Light Garrison was far inferior to that of the Space Garrison. Lacking beam skills, even their specialized equipment could not bridge the vast gap in strength. It was much like the difference between police and soldiers: the former were responsible for internal security within the Land of Light, while the latter were tasked with battling dark races in the outer reaches of the universe.
The captain of this garrison, an Ultra named "Achura," felt a deep sense of dread as he faced the charging New Space Garrison, yet he stood his ground and called out to his subordinates:
"Stop these guys! We must not let these traitors run wild in the Land of Light!"
Hearing these words, Jack’s gaze turned even colder. His massive form reached Achura in an instant, delivering a strike so ferocious that it shattered the solid Photon Shield upon impact, scattering it into countless flickering specks of light.
"The New Space Garrison has no traitors!"
Jack was on the verge of losing control. His blue skin trembled, his prominent muscles bulging as he grabbed Achura by the throat and lifted him into the air.
"Hiss..." The surrounding garrison members watched the scene in shock, terrified by Jack’s immense strength, yet simultaneously fearing for their own lives—who knew what a madman like Jack might do?
Rumors of Jack leading the New Space Garrison to exterminate dark races throughout the universe, even wiping out entire species and destroying star systems, were rampant in the Land of Light. The elders of the White tribe were deeply dissatisfied with this, some even questioning whether the Ultra Father’s choice to support him had been correct.
Although Ken had consistently shielded Jack from the internal pressures of the Land of Light, he could not deny that he disapproved of Jack’s methods. This was the fundamental divide in their philosophies: Jack believed that any race hostile to the Land of Light should be eradicated, while Ken was clearly more inclined toward mercy.
Jack swept a cold, piercing gaze over the stunned garrison members. His look was like a blade, causing them to shrink back, not daring to even breathe loudly.
"Get out of my way. This is a private matter between the New Space Garrison and the White tribe. It will not endanger the order of the entire Land of Light; this is not a jurisdiction for you to concern yourselves with."
The garrison warriors exchanged glances, their resolve wavering. However, with no one willing to step up as the first to yield, no one wanted to be the first to surrender.
"Or perhaps you wish to fight me!?"
His cold voice echoed, and the garrison warriors felt as if they were being stalked by a predator, their bodies trembling uncontrollably.
"Boom!"
Jack tossed Achura aside without a hint of mercy. The forty-meter-tall figure flew through the air, crashing heavily into a massive crystal building, leaving him in a pathetic state.
"Three seconds."
After uttering this, he turned back to the members of the New Space Garrison behind him. His gaze fell on Cupid as he said, "You all charge into the White tribe's settlement first. I will follow shortly. Do not let those old fools escape!"
"Understood!" Cupid nodded, then accelerated, flying toward a specific direction. Behind him, the rest of the New Space Garrison followed in haste.
"Three."
Jack took a single step forward, and the garrison warriors, already shivering, dropped their Photon Shields to the ground and retracted their Photon Blades into their wrist devices to signal their surrender.
Scanning them with a mocking gaze, Jack whispered, "A bunch of weaklings."
It had to be said, there was a strange satisfaction in such contemptuous dismissal. Since the bridge had been burned with the White tribe, Jack no longer felt the need to restrain himself. He would take this opportunity to contribute his final strength to the Blue tribe and to his brother.
For the longest time, it was not the Red tribe or the Silver tribe that had discriminated against and suppressed the Blue tribe, but these very people of the White tribe. Centered around a few elders, the Council had consistently blocked Ken’s policies regarding the Blue tribe.
They could tolerate former warriors and scholars holding the same status as themselves, but they could not endure the thought of "slaves" achieving a similar standing. Furthermore, they had been attempting to seize power from Ken, leaving him constantly beleaguered.
Jack decided he would endure no more. If he was going down, he would drag these old fools with him! It would be a favor to both the Blue tribe and Ken.
After Jack departed, Achura was pulled from the rubble of the crystal structure by his men. Despite lacking powerful beam skills, Achura possessed a remarkably resilient constitution.
Yet, to the astonishment of his men, Achura scanned them and uttered only one sentence:
"I am ashamed of you."
In the White tribe's settlement, a surprise raid had erupted.
Cupid and the members of the New Space Garrison were also on the brink of losing control, fueled by the frame-up orchestrated by the White tribe. Since they had no intention of surviving this day, their strikes were merciless.
Like wolves and tigers, they broke through the White tribe's defensive line. The ordinary White tribe warriors could not halt their advance. Much like Jack’s own personality, the New Space Garrison’s offensive was as swift as the wind and as fierce as fire. Piercing through the defenses, they drove deep into the heart of the settlement, targeting the living quarters of the elders.
"Hold the line! Stop them at all costs!"
On the periphery of the core zone, hundreds of White tribe guards scrambled. Seeing the insane, oncoming force and their astonishing combat prowess, their worldview was shattered. Who said Blue-tribe Ultras were useless? Such raw power could surely only be matched by the Red tribe!
"Release the beam torrents!!!"
The captain screamed in terror. The disorganized White tribe warriors raised their arms in a panic; some, paralyzed by sudden fear, even forgot how to activate their beam abilities.
Of the hundreds of warriors, fewer than a hundred managed to unleash their energy beams, attempting to hold the Blue-tribe warriors at bay.
The White tribe was never well-versed in combat, and their long history of comfort had eroded their fighting spirit. Their elite unit—the Elder Guard—was far away in the cosmos and could not return in time.
Their so-called defensive line was like a sandcastle on the beach, easily obliterated by the New Space Garrison.
"Warriors! Charge in with me!!!"
Following Jack’s roar, his blue form leapt forward, darting through the tall crystal buildings with such agility that the White tribe’s beams couldn't even graze him.
With a series of agile leaps, Jack appeared before the White tribe warriors. His raw power surged as he thrust his arm out, piercing through the chest of one of the defenders.
Immediately following, a beam of light whistled through the air—it was Cupid’s Eye Slugger!
"BOOM!!!"
The Eye Slugger spun at high speed, hacking into the chests of several warriors. Whoever it struck was sent flying by the immense force.
Then, the New Space Garrison warriors unleashed their beam attacks, firing directly at the stunned White tribe defenders.
Led by their two commanders, the combined assault of a hundred warriors shattered the line. Hundreds of Blue-tribe warriors clad in Diktar Gear armor surged forward like a broken dam, engaging the defenders in close-quarters combat.
The White tribe warriors were no match; the New Space Garrison had honed their skills on the front lines of actual war, and the White tribe could not compete.
Under Jack’s leadership, they were like a raging fire. Despite numbering only in the hundreds, their presence was overwhelming, their battle-hardened aura completely distinct from the White tribe soldiers.
As the two sides collided, a massive battle erupted. Fighting on the ground and trading beams in the sky, both sides were blinded by rage, and the situation quickly spiraled out of control. Seeing this, even Captain Achura of the Land of Light Garrison had no choice but to retreat.
"Whoosh!"
The Eye Slugger spun back, caught firmly by Cupid, who turned and slashed, knocking a White tribe soldier aside.
He looked up to see a Blue-tribe warrior surrounded by several White tribe soldiers, their beams charging.
"Clang!"
The Eye Slugger traced a graceful arc, hacking into the back of one soldier. Before the other could react, Cupid leapt over and delivered a strike to his arm, disrupting the beam formation.
Cupid then grabbed the opponent by the shoulder and elbow, using the leverage of his Diktar Gear armor to execute a spin, throwing the warrior away with force.
"You alright?"
Cupid reached out a hand to his comrade, who grabbed it and tapped his own armor with a fist, saying, "No problem! How could I be defeated by these weaklings!"
"How is the Captain doing?"
Jack’s battles were far more explosive; possessing superior strength, he was practically sweeping through the White tribe forces single-handedly.
"Bang!"
Jack sent an opponent flying with a heavy punch. Without even looking back, he kicked another attacker who tried to ambush him from behind.
"Take him down!"
Four or five White tribe warriors hovered in mid-air, arms outstretched, unleashing a torrent of energy beams toward Jack.
"Boom!"
Jack leapt high, evading the ambush. His form accelerated, and he flew toward them, hurling energy projectiles that slammed into their chests, sending them exploding backward.
The remaining warriors scrambled to retaliate, but before they could, Jack was already upon them. He grabbed one warrior by the head, kicked another away, and used his right hand to hurl the first warrior aside like trash.
"Ah!"
One warrior summoned his courage and threw a heavy punch at Jack, but Jack caught the fist in his left palm, the immense pressure threatening to crush it.
Then, with a sharp pull and a swift thrust of his right hand, his fingers pierced through the warrior’s body like blades.
"Elders!"
A figure burst into the underground meeting room, shouting anxiously:
"Jack the madman has led the New Space Garrison in! The guards are resisting, but they won't hold much longer!"
"What!?"
It was as if a depth charge had been dropped into a calm pool. The group of old men stood up in panic.
"Jack!?"
"What is going on!?"
"I don't know! The New Space Garrison has a clear target—they've charged directly into our settlement!"
The head elder suddenly realized something and said bitterly, "It must be Cupid! He told Jack about Zoffy’s deductions!"
"Quickly, recall the warriors stationed outside!"
"Yes! Hurry! That madman Jack will kill us!"
The elders had long since lost any semblance of composure; they had lived for an incredibly long time, but the passing years had only deepened their fear of death.
"We have already sent the recall orders!" the young warrior replied hurriedly before rushing out again. Behind him, the elders scrambled to flee.
However, just as they reached the door, they froze.
The young White tribe warrior had been grabbed by the throat and lifted into the air. With a dull thud, Jack threw him aside and scanned the old men before him, walking steadily forward.
As he advanced, the elders retreated in terror, not daring to utter a sound.
"Old fools, you have truly lived long enough!"
"Jac-Jack, you seem to have misunderstood something..." one elder replied, trying to stall for time.
But to Jack, this was laughable and futile. He had no intention of listening to their excuses. His sharp fingers thrust forward, piercing the elder’s chest.
"Ah..."
The elder’s yellow eyes lost their luster, and he collapsed to the ground, completely unable to resist.
"You... are you mad!?"
"Boom!"
Enraged, Jack didn't even listen to the words. He kicked the elder, sending him flying into the wall, where he slumped to the floor.
"Captain!"
Cupid soon appeared behind Jack. Clearing out the guards outside had been trivial; these people were never suited for combat.
Jack’s icy gaze swept over the remaining elders, and he sneered, "Just like we deal with those damn dark races—finish them!"
Cupid hesitated for a moment, then asked, "You mean... execute them all?"
The elders panicked. The head elder shouted, "Have you lost your mind!? You won't have any path back after this!"
Jack stared at him coldly, articulating each word: "We have already been backed into a corner by you old fools!"
Having said that, he turned and left.
Cupid sheathed his Eye Slugger and walked in with several Blue-tribe warriors, clicking his tongue.
"You White tribe members have ambition. You old men want to control the Land of Light—that’s fine."
"But the worst thing you could have done was to use our Blue tribe as a stepping stone."
"You used the New Space Garrison as scapegoats. Unfortunately for you, with Captain Jack’s personality, that is something he will never tolerate."
And Jack, after all, was a man of great ambition.
