Chapter Eleven: The Mighty Flame Lord
“When the Warrior Headquarters’ starship departed, in which direction did the Battle Star head?”
Upon hearing this question laced with doubt, Seven 21 glared angrily at Zoffy and retorted, “You’re the reserve captain of the Universal Security Guard, and I am also the operations captain of the Warrior Headquarters. What right do you have to question the truthfulness of my words?”
Zoffy paused, then patiently replied, “I need to understand this matter thoroughly. After all, if the Blue Tribe’s rebellion is a misconception, the consequences could be severe.”
Seven 21 sneered coldly. “Are you trying to protect the Blue Tribe? The war has already broken out. What could be more serious than that?”
“I have already conveyed this matter to the Father of Ultra through the Ultra Signature. There is no room for alternative interpretations,” Zoffy interrupted.
“Actually,” Zoffy continued, “I was appointed by the Father of Ultra to investigate this incident. You’ve said a lot, but have you truly witnessed any Blue Tribe warriors attacking the Warrior Headquarters’ starship?”
“And the Battle Star?” Seven 21 demanded.
Zoffy fixed his gaze on Seven 21’s eyes and spoke deliberately, “The Battle Star is merely a starship, and starships can be forged.”
Seven 21 roared in anger, “Then those Blue Tribe scum pursuing me—”
Zoffy waved his hand, cutting him off once more with clarity, “In fact, they never attacked you, did they?”
Seven 21 faltered, surprised. Zoffy’s reminder made him realize this inconsistency.
If those new Universal Security Guard members truly intended to capture or kill him, they would have long since activated their Dikutarro Gear Armor. In that state, their combat prowess would surge multiple levels beyond normal. Under such circumstances, there would have been no way for him to keep evading them.
Seeing Seven 21 lost in thought, Zoffy knew he had persuaded him, at least for the moment, and pressed on.
“When the Warrior Headquarters’ starship departed, in which direction did the Battle Star go?”
Seven 21 no longer resisted the question. After a moment of contemplation, he answered, “It seems to have stayed in place, preparing to erase the Kirk Planet.”
Zoffy nodded in agreement; that was his own suspicion as well.
The Blue Tribe Ultra Legion under Jiek’s command was notorious throughout the Land of Light for its ruthless and violent combat style. Jiek upheld a merciless doctrine: no survivors, root out the enemy completely. Any dark species targeted by him would face extinction, their home planets shattered.
“So you must have realized that the Battle Star could not possibly lie in ambush ahead of the Warrior Headquarters’ starship,” Zoffy observed.
Seven 21 silently nodded, his heart filled with fear and anger, clouding his judgment.
On this point, no Ultra Warrior could match Zoffy, who consistently maintained calm and rendered the best judgments and decisions.
“If it wasn’t the Blue Tribe, then who could have done this?” Seven 21 wondered aloud. “I saw it clearly—the Battle Star, as a starship, could indeed be forged. But the Miracle Laser Cannon, a high-end weapon of the Land of Light’s fleet, is absolutely impossible to counterfeit.”
Zoffy nodded, endorsing Seven 21’s assessment. “That means there has been a hidden hand manipulating these events.”
He paused, then continued, “Moreover, Seven followed because a White Tribe Ultra informed him of this matter.”
Seven 21 was stunned, disbelief evident in his voice. “The White Tribe!?”
“If it really is the White Tribe, what motive would they have to do such a thing?” Seven 21 questioned, unable to comprehend. The White Tribe’s current way of life was comfortable; they had no apparent reason for such actions.
Zoffy shook his head slightly, then nodded, hesitatingly. “If it’s truly the White Tribe, then it might indeed be possible.”
No tribe wishes to disappear gradually. Although racial integration is a process spanning millennia, unnoticed by most, future generations observing history over centuries would recognize the gradual blending of peoples.
The most typical example is the Xianbei assimilation into the Han. At the time, who could have keenly perceived this issue?
In the Land of Light, this integration process is prolonged endlessly, measured in tens of millions of years.
Therefore, Ultra Warriors rarely consider this matter.
Yet, one must never underestimate the insight of any faction. The original elders of the White Tribe have lived for tens of millions of years—true geniuses.
They experienced life before becoming Ultras. They were once exalted elders, commanding the obedience and service of slaves, warriors, and scholars alike. Having endured such times and received universal submission, placed now within the ideal societal structure of the Land of Light, they inevitably face difficulties in adapting.
Some elders may be content with this existence, but many White Tribe elders truly desire a state where the Blue, Red, and Silver tribes all bow beneath the White Tribe.
It’s akin to how the Land of Light’s inhabitants, before their Ultra evolution, belonged to a slave society.
After achieving Ultra evolution, the society they built was ideal.
For slaves, warriors, and scholars, this was beneficial.
For the elders, however, their interests were diminished.
The oppressed masses naturally welcomed the Land of Light’s system, but the former slaveholders resisted it deeply.
This situation was overshadowed by the Ultra King’s immense influence, deterring rebellion. But with the Ultra King’s retirement and the Father of Ultra leading the Land of Light, his authority lacks the weight to intimidate these elders.
“If it’s them, then this is truly possible,” Zoffy murmured.
While the White Tribe elders hold no official power, over the years since the Land of Light’s foundation, they still control unimaginable resources.
Perfectly replicating an identical Battle Star is not difficult.
Acquiring the Miracle Laser Cannon is also within their capabilities.
Even the motive is ample.
Zoffy, with his keen insight and unshaken composure, seemed to possess a godlike perspective. He could sift through layers of fog to uncover the true clues and ultimately reveal the truth.
What appears simple is, in fact, unimaginably complex. Because Ultras living in this era cannot comprehend racial integration, nor realize the White Tribe is gradually merging into the Silver Tribe.
This is the blindness of being inside the game.
But for Zoffy, in his calm state, he could observe the entire situation as if from a divine vantage point—like Holmes.
To be continued.
