Chapter Seventy-Four: Are You Really Siblings?
"Haha, Boss, remember to call me next time you come here!" Le Han waved goodbye to Nangong Yuchen and the others with a wide, cheerful grin.
"Hurry up and go!" Nangong Yuchen urged impatiently. Since Le Han lived in District B, he headed straight home after they returned to the station from Luoting Town.
Shortly after, Chu Huiyan dragged Xia Ruli along to bid farewell to Nangong Yuchen, Nangong Kexin, and Angel. Although the two lived in District C, they weren't traveling the same way. Before leaving, however, Xia Ruli cast a lingering, affectionate glance at Nangong Yuchen before following Chu Huiyan with a sweet expression on her face.
Finally, Angel departed after saying, "By the way, my family has moved to District B. Kexin, don't forget about tomorrow!"
Once all four had left, Nangong Yuchen and Nangong Kexin entered the maglev station to head home to District D.
On the way, both of them were rather silent. Nangong Yuchen was preoccupied with thoughts of Xia Ruli, while Nangong Kexin, for reasons unknown, had remained speechless since their return, seemingly deep in thought.
By the time they reached their home in the outskirts of District D at eight o'clock, they both finished washing up and prepared to rest. They were exhausted after a long day of playing, and Nangong Yuchen, in particular, felt his mind in a state of chaos. He lay down on the floor mat, reflecting on the events that had unfolded at the pool that afternoon.
Just then, Nangong Kexin suddenly stammered, her face flushed red: "Yuchen, today... you should sleep on the bed!"
"Huh?" His thoughts interrupted, Nangong Yuchen looked back, puzzled. "That doesn't seem right, does it? And how would we fit?"
"You... I said get up here and sleep, so just do it! Why so much nonsense?" Nangong Kexin seemed unusually agitated.
"Oh, okay..." Nangong Yuchen was baffled, but not daring to refuse his sister's request, he suspiciously gathered his quilt and lay down on the empty side of the bed that Kexin had cleared for him.
"Well... Kexin, I'm going to sleep now," Nangong Yuchen asked tentatively, unsure why his sister was acting so out of character.
"Oh, just sleep, do you really have to... tell me?" Nangong Kexin’s voice grew even more tense. Being pressed side-by-side with Nangong Yuchen—even though they had slept together like this as children—felt different now that they were no longer ignorant of such things.
Having received permission, Nangong Yuchen turned over, ready to drift off. His head felt heavy from the matters regarding Xia Ruli, and he simply wanted a good night's sleep.
After a while, Nangong Kexin suddenly rolled over and nudged him. "Are... are you asleep?"
"Hmm? What is it, Kexin?" Hearing the tremor in his sister's voice, Nangong Yuchen felt extremely strange.
"Nangong Yuchen, could you... could you do me a favor..." Seeing that he had turned around, Nangong Kexin stammered, unable to form a coherent sentence for quite some time.
"Help you with what?"
"It's just... just, help me massage my chest!" Nangong Kexin squeezed her eyes shut and blurted it out!
"What?" Nangong Yuchen's sleepiness vanished instantly. Looking at his blushing sister, he couldn't believe his
