Chapter 88: Establishing Diplomatic Relations, Earth's Home
"I am the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Celestial Empire. Our nation is willing to establish diplomatic relations with the Ultraman Empire." An elder, his voice trembling, spoke these words live on camera.
Even for someone seasoned in handling all sorts of emergencies, already capable of facing any unforeseen event, this situation went beyond anything imaginable—the implications were enough to render any citizen of the Celestial Empire speechless.
Bone Dragon responded, "Very well. Here are the diplomatic terms drafted by the Diga Warrior. Please review them. If you have any concerns, feel free to raise them."
With these words, a contract was presented, its clauses clearly listed:
1. The Celestial Empire acknowledges the Ultraman Empire's status on Earth and, within reasonable limits, will fight alongside the Ultraman Empire.
2. The Celestial Empire will safeguard all rights and interests of the Ultraman Empire on Earth and will not create difficulties under any pretext.
3. During diplomatic relations, both nations will engage in fair trade, and the Ultraman Empire is willing to share certain technologies with the Celestial Empire.
4. Neither side shall attempt to spy on the other's secrets. The Ultraman Empire also pledges to maintain a friendly attitude toward Earth and will never engage in activities harmful to the planet.
5. The Ultraman Empire will construct a massive space station in the universe, allowing scientists from the Celestial Empire to conduct research there. However, the Celestial Empire must lift personnel restrictions so the Diga Warrior can select candidates for training as new warriors.
6. Should the Diga Warrior detect anomalous energy collectives on Earth, assistance will be provided, but the Celestial Empire must guarantee all necessary support operations.
The terms were straightforward and open; anyone watching the broadcast could see them.
At a glance, the eyes of every other nation turned red with envy. Never mind the rest—just the offer of advanced technology alone was a monumental boon. The Ultraman Empire was a superpower that traversed the universe; even their discarded technologies were the kind that would take Earth centuries to unravel.
But the Celestial Empire was fixated on a different clause. The Foreign Minister quickly asked, "May I ask, what is meant by 'anomalous energy collectives'?"
Bone Dragon replied, "Earth is a place with a legendary past. On your land, super lifeforms have appeared, and there have been extraterritorial invasions. Even now, some of these alien invader species are still in hiding, waiting for their energy to recover. Once they do, they will resume their invasion."
At these words, everyone watching thought immediately of monsters.
So Earth really had been invaded by monsters! It was almost unbelievable. There was no record of this in history! Yet the Ultraman Empire surely would not lie.
Not only in the Celestial Empire, but all over the world, governments convened emergency meetings.
"What does the fourth clause mean by 'selecting warriors'?"
Bone Dragon answered, "The Ultraman race upholds a principle of support toward all races in the universe, but refrains from interfering excessively in their development. Thus, after the Diga Warrior identified anomalous energy collectives on Earth, he submitted a request to help your planet develop its own unique superhuman heroes, so that in times of crisis, humanity can defend itself."
This made the people of the Celestial Empire's eyes light up.
Indeed, Ultramen were allies—they were here to help humanity rise together.
The Foreign Minister responded decisively, "If the Ultraman Empire faithfully abides by the terms of our agreement, the Celestial Empire will become your most loyal partner."
Bone Dragon said, "Excellent. Since your nation has agreed to the treaty, from this moment on, the Celestial Empire and the Ultraman Empire are partners. You may present your requests—be it for specific technologies or environmental expertise. Additionally, the Diga Warrior promises your nation ten slots for super warrior training."
"This is a significant matter. I must report to my superiors."
"No problem. I’ll give you an address—you may contact me at any time."
"Thank you," the Foreign Minister said gratefully.
Bone Dragon nodded, and his figure vanished in an instant. The next moment, all electronic devices on Earth returned to normal.
But Earth's real frenzy had only just begun. This diplomatic breakthrough became the center of all discussion; everything else took a back seat.
Zhang Kai had been following events closely. Seeing this, he finally breathed a sigh of relief.
The first step is always the hardest. With this foundation, everything else could proceed methodically.
With Bone Dragon's help, the Celestial Empire could freely pick any technology seen in movies or TV shows—whatever was needed, could be acquired.
As for warrior training, this was also part of Zhang Kai’s grand plan. Since the Celestial Empire aspired to be a nation above all, its people should be as mighty as dragons. If every individual in the country grew stronger, then no monster or demon could threaten them.
But some nations found themselves in a difficult position.
Western countries, not having established diplomatic relations first, now scrambled to become the second to do so in hopes of gaining benefits from the Ultraman Empire.
As for Dark Ultramen? They would simply be suppressed. After all, the Ultraman Empire could roam the cosmos freely; from their perspective, they could obliterate Earth with asteroid strikes if they wished.
How could anyone resist that?
The most aggrieved, however, were the Japanese. It was their country that had first made contact with Ultraman—decades ago! Why, upon this new contact, had they been overlooked? Was it that Tsuburaya’s actions had left the Ultraman race with a bad impression?
Some people, in particular, began to resent Tsuburaya, the creator of the Ultraman series. That scoundrel—he had made contact with extraterrestrial life, yet thought only of making TV shows for profit, never considering what he could do for his country. If only Tsuburaya had made a single request back then, Japan might have dominated the world by now.
Such was their rage that several high-ranking officials secretly wished they could dig up Tsuburaya’s grave and scatter his ashes.
But whatever the case, they had fallen behind. Now, Japan was desperately searching for a way to turn the situation around.
Meanwhile, Yongzhu, suspended in midair, had been completely forgotten. The Celestial Empire had taken the first step, so Yongzhu was now useless. Every attempt he made to request a conversation was refused, and he could only wait in despair as he was sent off into the sky.
Time passed—several days slipped by. The topic of Ultraman remained at the forefront; nothing else seemed to matter. The whole world watched the Celestial Empire, wondering what kind of advanced technologies they would obtain from the Ultraman Empire.
As for the Celestial Empire, the nation rejoiced. Every household was filled with happiness. Local governments even lifted firework bans, and every evening the sky was lit with fireworks—the celebrations never ceased.
Finally, a new website was launched—on its very first day, it broke the record for most logins since the dawn of the internet.
The site was named Earth Home, developed by Bone Dragon Ultraman for the planet. It allowed all of Earth's inhabitants to log in simultaneously with zero lag.
Within the site, there were only four entrances: Movie Home, Battle Home, Exchange Home, and King’s Home.
Each entrance had its own subcategory, but upon seeing the contents, the entire planet went wild.
