Chapter 19: Still Daring? You Need a Lesson
Qin Wanyi was so angry she laughed, raising her hand to push the man away. "Pei Yunian! I am going out like this today, whether you like it or not!"
Pei Yunian stumbled back from the push, his spine hitting the doorframe, yet not a trace of pain crossed his face. He stared fixedly at her retreating, graceful silhouette. His peach-blossom eyes shimmered with a dangerous luster, watching his prey with predatory depth.
Qin Wanyi crossed her arms, leaning against the doorframe, and warned him with a provocative tone, "Remember, you are nothing but a dog! Do you really think you have the right to boss your master around?"
She jabbed her slender fingertip forcefully into the man's shoulder. He lowered his gaze, his eyes masking deep possessiveness and complex emotions. Qin Wanyi retracted her hand, smoothing her long, curly hair as she whispered a warning.
"Glare at me one more time, and I’ll gouge your eyes out and feed them to the dogs!"
With that, she cast a disdainful look at him and stepped over the threshold in her sky-high heels, completely unaware of the shift in Pei Yunian’s expression.
The man’s long arm swept around her waist, and he hoisted her over his shoulder with effortless ease.
"Pei Yunian!" Qin Wanyi was startled by the sudden move. Because her dress was extremely short, being carried over his shoulder forced her to bend, the fabric clinging tightly to her rounded hips. The man’s hand rested exactly there, and even through the fabric, she could feel the scorching heat of his palm.
Qin Wanyi’s cheeks flushed a deep crimson, and she pummeled his back in utter humiliation. The man paid no heed, striding toward the bedroom with her still slung over his shoulder.
The familiar ringtone of her phone cut through the air like a death knell.
"Let me go! My phone is ringing!" She struck his back hard in frustration. In this awkward position, she couldn't reach it.
Pei Yunian ignored her completely, calmly fishing the phone out of her pocket and answering it with practiced ease.
"Girlfriend! Hurry up and get over here! The male models here are absolutely incredible—all of them have eight-pack abs, hard as washboards! Don't say I didn't share the wealth; if you come late, they'll all be taken."
Shen Lin’s boisterous voice blared from the phone, accompanied by the thumping sound of loud music. Even without speakerphone, the voice was clearly audible.
Qin Wanyi’s face burned with shame; she wished she could crawl into a hole. She wanted to go, but given her current situation, she swallowed hard.
The man’s face darkened. He threw her onto the soft mattress, knelt on the edge of the bed, and looked down at her from his commanding height.
"She isn't going," he said coldly.
Shen Lin blinked in confusion, glancing at the name on her phone screen. "You’re not Yi-bao! Put Yi-bao on the phone!" She was startled to realize Pei Yunian had answered.
"Shen Lin, I advise you to make a run for it. Don't say I didn't warn you," Pei Yunian said in a chilling tone.
Shen Lin straightened up. "Hey, hey, hey! Aren't you overstepping your boundaries? What’s wrong with me having a drink? Quit the nonsense and put Yi-bao on!"
The man’s expression grew even more ominous. "As far as I know, the third young master of the Ji family is already on his way to the bar. Miss Shen, I suggest you pray for your own luck."
Without waiting for a reply, Pei Yunian hung up and tossed the phone onto the nightstand.
"What did you say?" Shen Lin sobered up instantly, taking a moment to process his words. "Ah! Pei Yunian! You are truly ruthless!" She cursed and scrambled to grab her bag, desperate to flee. Ji Feng was the man her family had arranged for her to marry; if what Pei Yunian said was true, she couldn't even imagine the consequences.
The entrance of the bar was in chaos. A massive crowd had gathered, including many who were drunk.
"What’s happening?" Shen Lin felt a surge of anxiety and grabbed a passing waiter.
"Tch, who knows? A group of people just stormed in, saying they were here to seal the place."
Shen Lin felt as if she had been struck by lightning, Pei Yunian’s words flashing through her mind. "If Ji Feng catches me, I’m finished," she muttered to herself in a panic. The crowd at the entrance was too dense to pass, and she remembered hearing someone mention a back door when she was in the restroom earlier.
She turned to go, but a hand clamped tightly onto her wrist. Irritated, she snapped, "Let go!"
The force pulled her back until she collided with a soft wall. A familiar scent filled her senses, and her entire body went rigid.
*Oh no.*
Ji Feng lowered his gaze, his long fingers gently hooking her chin as he mocked her in a cold voice, "Having fun, are we? Film stars? Male models? Eight-pack abs?"
Just hearing his voice made cold sweat break out on Shen Lin’s skin. She tilted her head back mechanically, offering an awkward smile. Ji Feng dragged her straight to the car. As the partition rose, Shen Lin knew she was in trouble. Before she could react, her backside was met with several sharp, stinging slaps.
"Ah! I was wrong! Stop hitting me, please stop!" Shen Lin shrieked in pain.
Back at the villa, Qin Wanyi was completely overwhelmed by Pei Yunian. Her voice hoarse, she begged, "I was wrong, please, spare me."
"I won't go again! I’ll never go to see any film stars ever again."
Qin Wanyi clutched the sheets, her beautiful eyes clouded with mist, her fair cheeks flushed red. The man seemed not to hear her, only becoming more relentless.
He pinched her chin gently, staring into her dazed eyes. "Why aren't you going anymore, hmm? Could it be that the film stars aren't enticing enough? Or perhaps their abs aren't hard enough?"
Every word he spoke stirred the depths of her being. Qin Wanyi bit her lip, her body devoid of strength, leaving her unable to answer his questions.
"Doesn't the young lady love hiring male models? Why is it that you don't like it anymore? Could it be that those models weren't handsome enough? Or is it that they simply couldn't satisfy you?"
Qin Wanyi could not withstand the man’s intense, burning heat. "Wuwuwu, I really know I was wrong. I’ll never dare to do it again."
Seeing the tear tracks on her cheeks, Pei Yunian’s heart softened involuntarily, and he wiped the corners of her eyes. Remembering her earlier words, he leaned down and bit her chin lightly. "Do you still dare to call me a dog?"
Qin Wanyi’s eyes turned red, a dull ache throbbing where he had bitten her. "I don't dare."
Her delicate, soft voice and miserable appearance made the man’s stomach tighten. Qin Wanyi bit her lip, glaring at him with her red-rimmed eyes. "Bastard."
"I’m going to tell my father! I’ll tell him you bullied me!" she sobbed, airing her grievances with red eyes.
Pei Yunian watched her pathetic display, a smirk playing on his lips. "Sure. The phone is right there. Call him now and tell him exactly how I’ve been bullying you."
The man reached out and actually grabbed the phone. Qin Wanyi, who had been cursing a moment ago, was left completely dumbfounded by his move. She turned her head away, ignoring him. If she called now, wouldn't her father hear exactly what they were doing? She couldn't afford to lose face like that. Besides, her father would likely scold her to death.
"Baby, are you still going to make that call?"
