Song Yanzi hurriedly walked and unexpectedly collided with a solid embrace. A familiar cool scent wafted into her nose. She looked up and saw the man.

The corridor's dim yellow light cast deeper shadows across his striking, sculpted face.

Shen Yichi held her waist with one arm, slightly bowing his head, about to speak, but was interrupted by an untimely voice.

“Beautiful lady, don’t run away!”

“Wait for me! I’ll make you feel amazing later!”

Shen Yichi glanced up to see two men staggering toward them.

Obscene words filled the air, and the calm, placid gleam in his eyes suddenly turned icy cold.

He subtly raised his hand as a signal, and his bodyguards immediately stepped forward to block the two drunken men.

“Who dares block my path?”

“Clear out now! Do you know who I am?”

“If you don’t move, you’ll regret it.”

The intoxicated men, emboldened by their drinks, spoke brazenly and shamelessly.

Without needing to ask, Shen Yichi understood.

“Throw those two out of here, and don’t let them show up again.”

The bodyguards obeyed his order promptly.

The two drunks tried to resist but were quickly subdued by the well-trained guards and forcibly dragged away.

The corridor fell silent. Song Yanzi stepped out of his arms, putting some distance between them.

Standing steady, she asked calmly, “Why did you call me here?”

Usually, they only met at his villa or a hotel.

In public, with so many eyes around, it was too easy to be noticed.

Shen Yichi didn’t answer but teased, “I just helped you out of trouble, and you can’t even say thank you? Ms. Song, you’re quite rude.”

The man had been drinking and was slightly intoxicated.

Song Yanzi played along. “Thank you, Mr. Shen, for saving me. I won’t forget your great kindness.”

Though she spoke gratitude, in her heart she silently cursed him.

It was clearly because of him that she got into trouble in the first place.

---

Shen Yichi immediately saw through her. “You can be even more fake.”

Who knew what she was cursing him for inside.

Song Yanzi forced a smile that didn’t reach her eyes. “I’m being sincere, and you say I’m fake.”

Shen Yichi gave a direct order, “Come here, support me.”

Song Yanzi remained still, cautiously scanning the surroundings. “This is a public place. Be careful.”

Most of the people here were from their circle—whether they knew her or knew Shen Yichi.

If they were seen, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Shen Yichi looked at her with an inscrutable expression. “Since when did you become so timid?”

With that, he reached out, putting his hand on her shoulder and pulling her close as they walked toward the elevator.

Song Yanzi replied, “Not afraid, just avoiding unnecessary trouble.”

Shen Yichi was the boss of Mist Entertainment and had a private elevator.

When they reached the underground garage, he took out his car keys, unlocked the car, and handed them to her, casually going around to open the passenger door and sit down.

He had deliberately called her over just to have her be his driver.

Though reluctant, Song Yanzi had no choice but to comply.

He was the client, the golden goose who needed to be cherished; she couldn’t afford to offend him.

After some mental preparation, Song Yanzi got into the car.

Fastening her seatbelt, she asked, “Where to?”

The man glanced sideways at her.

Inside the dimly lit car, her long hair draped over her shoulders, she appeared calm and composed.

He leaned forward, reached to the nape of her neck, and gently pulled her into a kiss.

His lips covered hers, and Song Yanzi was momentarily stunned.

A crisp breath mingled with a faint scent of alcohol invaded her senses.

His kiss was urgent, sliding into her mouth with reckless abandon, roaming, drawing, and sucking freely in her territory.

After a brief daze, Song Yanzi began to respond.

In the quiet space, their mingled breathing and heartbeats sounded particularly clear.

Feeling his change, she knew it couldn’t go on like this. Song Yanzi pushed him gently. The man stopped, withdrew, and leaned back to catch his breath.

---

Composing herself, Song Yanzi started the car.

The vehicle arrived at the underground garage of Shui Lanting. As soon as they stepped out of the elevator, they embraced and kissed again.

Everything happened naturally, without any prelude.

After several days apart, the man was impatient.

Song Yanzi was held tight in his arms, clinging to his shoulders, her breath trembling with a faint quiver. “Shen Yichi, slow down.”

The man stopped, looking at the woman before him, her sultry eyes and flushed cheeks stirring his heart.

His voice husky with desire, he murmured, “So delicate.”

Then he bent down and kissed her forehead.

He restrained himself at her reminder, becoming unbelievably gentle.

When all had calmed, Shen Yichi carried her to freshen up.

Between them, there was an unspoken understanding: they focused on one thing only, occasionally teasing each other, but nothing else was discussed.

They shared day and night, lost in the purest and most primal desires.

---

The next day.

Song Yanzi was groggy from sleep, disturbed by a ringing phone.

Half-asleep, she reached out and answered.

“Hello?”

A brief silence on the other end.

“Yichi?”

A sweet, soft female voice came through the phone.

Song Yanzi was instantly jolted awake, her drowsiness vanishing, her body stiffening.

She grabbed the phone and saw it was Shen Yichi’s phone.

Seeing the name “Sheng Zhiyi” on the screen, her mind went blank, and her breath caught in her throat.
