Volume One, Chapter 15: Building a Winning Streak
Jiuli was known as the wealthy elder brother among the Seven Cats. He loved to roam through various livestream rooms and voice channels, casually showering billions here and there. Wherever there was excitement, he would join; wherever there was fun, he would go. He never lingered in any one particular stream.
Some joked, “Emperor Jiuli is like a gold brick—he moves wherever he’s needed.”
Any streamer he gifted wasn’t just fed—they were stuffed to bursting. Because of this, many streamers worked hard to guard his presence, knowing that whenever he sent a grand gift with a floating screen, other streamers would challenge the one he supported in hopes of getting his attention.
If they couldn’t draw him in, at least they could snag some medical fees and still have a good meal.
“Mm, but I’ve already been declining,” Yu Yansui said, maneuvering the mouse to hang up one PK challenge request after another.
[Jiuli (Admin): No need to refuse. Tonight, brother will take you up the ranks.]
Yu Yansui’s rank was at Gold One, quite high for a newcomer. But who would ever complain about a high rank? After all, the higher the PK rank, the greater the exposure—connecting with more quality streamers and meeting more people.
She picked up a little white fox doll that represented Jiuli and lifted its front paws in the livestream, striking a cute pose.
The little black cat lay pitifully on a white-furred cushion atop the cabinet behind Yu Yansui, looking utterly forlorn.
“All right, let’s go for it!”

“I’m hugging you, hugging you. Brother Evening Breeze, why are you acting like a child?” Yu Yansui reached out and pulled the black cat into her arms to soothe it.

Yu Yansui’s PK connection was accepted. On the other end was a female streamer named Xuejiao, wearing a daring purple strapless dress that revealed a touch of cleavage.
Yu Yansui raised her hand to greet but was cut off by the other’s enthusiastic voice.
Xuejiao deliberately lowered her neckline a bit more, covering it with her hand as she leaned closer to the camera. “Sui Sui, you’re really beautiful. No wonder Brother Jiuli has been sticking around you lately. Does Brother Jiuli still remember me? You’ve heard Jiao Jiao sing before.”

Xuejiao, seeing Jiuli pay no mind to her, wisely stopped trying to provoke and settled for earning some medical fees quietly.
She still put on a show, sitting back down to sing. She received quite a few scattered gifts, so she wasn’t left empty-handed.
In this kind of match, one Carnival gift from Jiuli was more than enough. Yu Yansui’s rank wasn’t high enough to connect with very skilled streamers, just some small ones with fluctuating performance, so the Carnival gift easily sufficed.
Besides, they only joined the PK to snag a bit of medical fees and show their faces.
When the PK time ended, Yu Yansui’s screen showed a little cat shaking two light sticks in a “7” shape, followed by the word “Victory.”

Yu Yansui scooped another spoonful of tiramisu into her mouth and slurred a greeting as King entered. “Welcome home, Brother King. Brother Jiuli’s still carrying Sui Sui on a winning streak.”
[King (Admin): Don’t talk while eating, be careful you don’t choke.]
“Sui Sui knows.”
This time, Yu Yansui connected with a streamer named Tiantian, who wore cat ears and a Lolita dress. As soon as they matched, Tiantian gave a tilted head wink. “Brother Jiuli, Dad Evening, King K, good evening~ I’m Tiantian. My talent is dancing. Didn’t expect to match with Sui Sui—let me show the brothers a little something. Tiantian’s no worse than Sui Sui!”

Yu Yansui stared blankly, taking it as another compliment from Tiantian. Then Tiantian smiled, “Thank you, you’re pretty too.”
The other streamer’s praise sounded sincere, making Tiantian feel wrapped in cotton wool.
“Little sister, how does your brother treat you so well? How do you maintain it privately? Can you teach me?”
Yu Yansui stayed blank for a moment, then answered seriously, “Just normal friend interactions.”
