Su Haoming was overjoyed inside: the system rebate was in hand, and his cultivation level had risen by an entire layer without effort. This deal was an absolute steal!

Usually, it took a long time of grueling practice to reach the same result, but now the progress was taking off!

“Since the effect is so great, let’s make this a regular thing,” Su Haoming said eagerly, seizing the moment. “I think two hours every day would be perfect.”

Liu Ruoxi nodded, “That could work, but can your body handle it?”

“Absolutely no problem!” Su Haoming pounded his chest confidently. “I’m willing to endure the hardship if it means we all improve together!”

Lin Feixue, however, shook her head gently. “No need to do it daily. Although joint cultivation is beneficial, too frequent sessions might strain your meridians. Once every three days is better.”

“Uh, alright then, once every three days it is,” Su Haoming said, a bit disappointed but understanding Lin Feixue’s caution.

Slow and steady wins the race.

The three of them settled on this plan.

They decided to take a short break first, then do a brief session later to consolidate today’s gains.

After resting, Su Haoming eagerly murmured to himself and pulled up the system panel.

[Liu Ruoxi’s Favorability: Friendly (slightly increased)]

[Lin Feixue’s Favorability: Amicable (upgraded from ‘indifferent’)]

[Partner Cultivation Feedback: Host’s Qi Refinement increased by one layer (already granted), slight enhancement in the purity of Primordial Violet Qi]

[Rebate Bonus Effect: Significant]

It worked!

Su Haoming was delighted.

Favorability rose, the rebate was solidly in hand, and his cultivation had improved without effort—this move was a jackpot!

“This method is solid!” he nearly laughed aloud. “At this rate, Foundation Establishment will be a breeze!”

Just as he was feeling elated, Lin Feixue’s cool voice rang out: “Fellow Daoist Su.”

“Yes?” Su Haoming quickly focused and looked at her.

“The spiritual power within you is quite unique,” Lin Feixue said calmly but with undeniable curiosity. “It can harmonize with cultivation methods of different attributes, which is unusual.”

Su Haoming’s heart skipped a beat.

What should he say about the Primordial Divine Technique?

Liu Ruoxi also looked over. “I sensed it too. Su Haoming, what cultivation method are you actually practicing?”

“Well…” Su Haoming scratched his head, eyes darting as he decided to be partly truthful and partly evasive. “I’m not exactly sure what it’s called. An elder saw that my Five Elements mixed spiritual roots were rather pitiful and passed it down to me, saying it’s especially suitable for someone like me who touches on various attributes. Anyway, when I channel energy, it feels quite fitting.”

He tried to appear sincere, with a hint of naïveté.

Liu Ruoxi and Lin Feixue said nothing, quietly watching him.

The air was silent for a few seconds.

“In that case, let’s continue,” Liu Ruoxi broke the silence without pressing further. “No matter what the method is, as long as it benefits all three of us, that’s enough.”

Lin Feixue nodded lightly. “However, Fellow Daoist Su, I advise you to understand your cultivation method better. Without grasping its principles, there will always be hidden dangers.”

“Ah, yes, Miss Lin is right. I’ll pay attention,” Su Haoming replied with a dry laugh, feeling that their reactions were a bit too calm—almost like they believed him, yet didn’t care about the fabricated story.

The second joint cultivation went much smoother.

Having adjusted from the first time, the three quickly found a rhythm of spiritual power fusion, forming a stable and efficient cycle.

Su Haoming could clearly feel the Primordial Violet Qi in his body becoming increasingly refined and pure under the purifying influence of the two streams of icy spiritual power, and the seventh layer of Qi Refinement was now fully stabilized.

Liu Ruoxi and Lin Feixue’s auras also grew more enduring and pure.

This session was brief, and by the time it ended, dusk had fallen.

Lin Feixue rose. “It’s getting late. I’ll take my leave first.”

Liu Ruoxi stood as well. “Thank you, Miss Lin. Today’s gains were substantial.”

“Until next time,” Lin Feixue nodded faintly to both before leaving the courtyard.

Watching her disappear into the twilight, Su Haoming exhaled deeply and turned to Liu Ruoxi, grinning broadly. “Ruoxi, today’s results are amazing! It’s all thanks to you coming up with this cultivation method!”

Liu Ruoxi glanced at him, shaking her head at his smug expression. “I didn’t think of it. Your spiritual power is truly special. Are you really unaware of the origins of your cultivation method?”

“Honestly, no,” Su Haoming continued to feign ignorance. “Maybe it’s because of my Five Elements spiritual roots? Good compatibility, perhaps?”

Liu Ruoxi looked at him intently but didn’t press the issue. “Forget it. In any case, today’s joint cultivation benefited all three of us greatly. Next time Lin Feixue comes, hopefully we can advance even further.”

“Oh, by the way,” Su Haoming recalled something and leaned in with curiosity, “how did you and Lin Feixue know each other before? You two don’t seem like strangers.”

Liu Ruoxi’s expression stiffened briefly but soon returned to normal. “We were in the same sect for a time and met a few times, but we’re not close.”

That answer... was so perfunctory, Su Haoming thought.

“So what exactly did you two talk about yesterday? How did she agree to... you know, join us for cultivation?” he couldn’t help but ask.

“Nothing much,” Liu Ruoxi said flatly. “I told her I had restored my cultivation, and she happened to be at a bottleneck. We found that our methods seemed to support each other and decided to try it out. As for the title… it’s just for convenience.”

That explanation… Su Haoming found even less believable. Two outstanding female cultivators, meeting by chance, agreeing to bind themselves as “partners” just because their methods complement each other? There was definitely more to it!

“By the way,” Liu Ruoxi shifted the topic, “what about the Foundation Establishment pills you promised?”

“Oh, here they are.” Su Haoming quickly took out two smooth jade bottles from his storage ring and handed them over. “One each, guaranteed quality. I’m keeping the remaining one for now.”

Liu Ruoxi accepted the bottles, opened one to sniff and verify, then put them away. “Thank you. I will pass them to Lin Feixue.”

“So, when do you plan to use them?” Su Haoming asked, genuinely curious.

“No rush,” Liu Ruoxi gave him a sideways glance. “Foundation Establishment is no small matter. It requires thorough preparation. At least, one must refine their cultivation to the peak of Qi Refinement, find a secluded place with excellent spiritual energy, and prepare pills and talismans to protect the meridians and stabilize the realm… It’s not something you just break through on a whim.”

“Wow, that complicated?” Su Haoming clicked his tongue.

It sounded so complex.

Luckily, his system was awesome—once partners reached Foundation Establishment, he would rocket up the ranks effortlessly!

“What about the next few days?” he asked.

“Each of us will consolidate our cultivation. When Lin Feixue returns, we’ll continue joint cultivation,” Liu Ruoxi said, then turned and returned to her room, seeming unwilling to chat further.

Su Haoming watched her retreating figure and stroked his chin.

Today, Liu Ruoxi seemed to have some hidden worries.

But whatever.

With such a great harvest today—reaching the seventh layer of Qi Refinement, gaining two ‘partners,’ and securing Foundation Establishment pills—it was an exhilarating day!

“This path of cultivation doesn’t seem so hard after all!” Su Haoming thought happily as he planned ahead.
