Chapter 55: Great Britain: I Have Never Witnessed Such Monumental Wickedness
What does it feel like when you are sitting back, happily watching the drama unfold, only for a brand-new scapegoat to come flying right at your back?
The Europeans expressed that they were so angry they couldn't help but laugh!
Before the United States dropped that scapegoat onto them, the Europeans had watched the American military get utterly pummeled in turn by European warriors, causing their evaluation of American combat capability to plummet again and again.
Everyone even went back and seriously reassessed the performance of the United States in World War I.
It wouldn't have been so bad if they hadn't assessed it, but upon doing so, good grief, the Europeans discovered that American combat effectiveness never once lived up to the hype of them being the "saviors of Europe."
Both Britain and France felt that was because they had bled themselves dry and needed the United States just to make up numbers. When it came down to actual combat capability, the U.S. military simply couldn't handle high-intensity warfare; using them as reserves to pad out headcounts was fine, but standing alone to shoulder a major front was utterly impossible.
The Germans felt even more strongly that the U.S. military had the worst average performance of any army in World War I, perhaps ranking just a tiny fraction higher than the Soviet-Russian forces. Their so-called operational advances depended entirely on how fast the German army chose to run...
In short, the more the Europeans enjoyed the spectacle, the lower their assessment of the American contribution to World War I sank.
The Europeans even mocked them en masse, saying that if they were to face off in a real ring match, the U.S. military would lose to Germany and Italy first, then probably lose to Britain's little brothers Canada and Australia, and might even lose to India...
And then, the United States slapped a massive scapegoat right onto their backs!
What was this? This was clearly the humiliation and anger of those who couldn't win playing dirty!
You Americans started the arena yourselves, you invited the European veterans yourselves, and after getting beaten black and blue, you actually turn around and blame it on us, claiming that we incited the antagonism?
People can be shameless, but surely not to this extent!
The heavyweight champion of Europe, Great Britain—which had been specifically named and shamed by the United States and asked for an "explanation"—promptly had a diplomat provide one:
"This is a massive failure of American social governance, a trick played by the U.S. government to cover up its failure and divert public attention!"
"This is equivalent to the United States falling sick, yet expecting us to take the medicine... I can only say that the United States is truly severely ill!"
When asked by reporters how he felt about the sensational headline of the American *The Sun*, the diplomat couldn't help but laugh. "That is the nonsense of an unscrupulous tabloid, but we in Europe would be more than happy to jointly accept a declaration of war from the United States, provided the United States actually has the courage."
The British civil servant implied: Isn't this just about expelling diplomats to divert domestic attention? This is an old trick they've already played to death.
If you have the guts, actually declare war!
Once Great Britain opened fire, the other nations followed suit, unleashing another round of collective mockery.
The French media sneered, "Judging by the total collapse of the intelligence system displayed by the United States in this farce, the government's law enforcement being treated like child's play, and the government's astonishing negligence regarding the proliferation of weapons, had this happened on the European continent, they would have been annihilated as a nation a hundred times over!"
Even the Italians had the audacity to mock them, "The criminals driven out of our country somehow turned into an army equipped with regular heavy firepower once they reached the United States? The standard of social governance in the United States is truly an eye-opener!"
Finally, Britain's *The Times* delivered the verdict: "Monstrosities plague the nation, the United States is doomed!"
"Pity the people of the United States, whose lives are threatened by unprecedented gang violence, yet they are jointly fooled and deceived by the U.S. government, receiving no accountability whatsoever... We in Great Britain have never witnessed such an utterly unscrupulous and vicious operation!"
To reiterate, in this day and age, Great Britain is the one holding the reins of the global narrative.
Every country has British sympathizers, and the United States is no exception.
There is a powerful pro-British faction within the United States, especially among the Protestant establishment on the East Coast.
This influence is not exerted through crude handouts, but through personal friendships and family ties, through common law and similar institutions, and through American recipients of the Rhodes Scholarships at Oxford University who are always stationed close to the centers of power.
Following Britain's public stance, the pro-British faction within the U.S. turned around to condemn the federal government: "Instead of relentlessly purging Chicago, which has turned into a cesspool, you insist on guiding the public toward 'anti-European' and 'anti-British' sentiments..."
"Those media outlets inciting hatred alongside the federal government, especially *The Sun*, you need to seriously reflect upon yourselves!"
Good grief! Logan's nervous system, which had been intensely tempered by high-intensity internet flame wars, was instantly triggered.
Almost instinctively, skipping any attempt at reason and going straight for the labels—
"American traitors!"
"Little pink Brits!"
"Spiritual Englishmen!"
"Self-funded British lapdogs!"
"Distant-breed colonials raised by Great Britain!"
"..."
In this era, when had these pro-British factions ever encountered such cutting-edge "labels" condensed from countless internet trolls trading insults, complete with built-in memory retention and viral spread?
Right off the bat, Logan took them all on single-handedly, pelting them with labels until they were dizzy and seeing stars!
Since the British lapdogs couldn't even withstand a single blow, an unsatisfied Logan grabbed the "dog owner" and blasted them for all he was worth!
"Britain says it has never witnessed anything utterly unscrupulous? What a coincidence, as an Irish-descendant, I was taught from childhood that the Irish must never forget Great Britain's utterly unscrupulous deeds!"
Ancient "achievements" like the Irish Famine of the previous century—where Britain, at the peak of its Victorian era, managed to let 1 million people starve to death out of an Irish population of 8 million, while another 2 million were forced to flee—weren't even worth Logan bringing up in detail.
He went straight to Britain's most recent operations—
"An uprising took place in Ireland during Easter 1916. Initially, the Irish public either viewed the uprising as a farce or remained indifferent;"
"However, after suppressing the uprising, British military officers with extensive colonial military experience placed the entire island of Ireland under a suffocating, high-pressure military rule, arresting thousands of 'rebel suspects' and treating Ireland like a colony akin to Egypt, Sudan, or South Africa;"
"Britain's brilliant maneuvers ignited the national independence consciousness of the Irish people. Harassed and attacked frequently by Irish insurgent fighters who proved too elusive for the colonial authorities, they directly turned their aggression onto the Irish populace!"
"On November 21st of last year, British troops rode in armored cars and military trucks to break into Croke Park stadium during a match, opening fire without provocation on spectators and athletes, killing 14 civilians and wounding at least 60 others, with the youngest victim only 11 years old..."
"Britain is right, they truly have never witnessed anything unscrupulous!"
"When they were threatening the lives of the Irish people with unprecedented colonial violence, they didn't need to give any explanation at all! Britain is only responsible for sending the Irish to meet God; giving explanations is God's job!"
"We can never repay Britain's kindness!"
The British government, which had been sitting back happily waiting to continue watching the domestic drama unfold in the U.S.: !!!
*The Times*, which had merely wanted to wave a small dagger around: !!!
They had only wanted to spar with small knives, never expecting the opponent to pull a thirty-foot broadsword from behind his back and slash down with a single blow!
This was fatal!
