Ji Jing’s office is located on the sixty-second floor. The entire floor is dedicated to the executive suite, with his private office situated within, surrounded by the workstations of his administrative staff.

He has six secretaries, managed by a woman named Yuna. She is strikingly beautiful and possesses a sharp, highly capable demeanor.

The HR manager brought Yu Xiangsi to Yuna. "Yuna, this is Yu Xiangsi. She is in charge of liaising with the Qiao Corporation. She started today, and Mr. Ji asked me to bring her over."

Yu Xiangsi smiled and nodded at Yuna. "Hello, Secretary Na."

Yuna kept a straight face and replied, "I may not be older than you, so just call me Secretary Yu. Since you are new, let me explain the rules of our executive office. Work hard. This is a place of business. If you are thinking of using your job to land a wealthy husband, you have come to the wrong place."

*I’ve already landed one,* Yu Xiangsi thought to herself.

Her smile remained unchanged. "Understood. Thank you for your guidance, Secretary Yu."

Yuna continued to list several more precautions, establishing her authority with a heavy hand, before finally allowing Yu Xiangsi to enter, though clearly still feeling she had more to say.

Yu Xiangsi knocked on the door and only entered after hearing Ji Jing’s voice.

With a professional air, she walked over to Ji Jing’s desk. "Mr. Ji, I’m here to report for duty."

Ji Jing leaned back in his chair, his gaze probing. "I underestimated you. To think you’d actually chase me all the way here—it seems this has been a long-term scheme. I’m starting to wonder: do I really possess such great charm that you would go to such lengths? And without even aiming for money or power. Does such a good thing really exist in this world?"

Yu Xiangsi knew that Ji Jing would inevitably be suspicious. Her tracks were too obvious, her steps too calculated, her schemes too intricate.

Faced with the skepticism she had long anticipated, Yu Xiangsi’s expression did not waver. "Power and status are indeed bonuses for a man, but Mr. Ji, you don't need them. You are already a perfect ten on your own. I feel that you are worth all the effort I’ve put in. Money and fame are certainly good things, but I have no interest in relying on a man to obtain them; I can achieve that on my own." She met his gaze openly. "I think that compared to those things, winning your love is much harder."

The remark bordered on blatant flattery, but Yu Xiangsi knew Ji Jing would believe it.

It had been five years, and she had been investigating him for three; she understood his character thoroughly. He was an intensely proud and confident man who believed he was worth the effort of any woman trying to win his heart.

In fact, Ji Jing had the capital to justify that belief.

Born into wealth, he had started his own venture, building the Hengxing Group entirely through his own efforts. While other second-generation heirs were still coasting on family businesses, he already had the standing to sit as an equal with the titans of the previous generation.

He was hardworking, disciplined, and steady, never letting his desires run wild despite his success. He was a man with clear goals and a firm will. Perhaps his only flaw was his excessive pride and confidence, but for a man like him, such traits were only natural.

What Yu Xiangsi had said was not just flattery—it was the truth.

Sincerity is the most effective weapon, and a glimmer of amusement began to show in Ji Jing’s eyes.

Yu Xiangsi’s dimples appeared as she said lightly, "Don't hold it back, Mr. Ji. If you want to laugh, just laugh."

He did indeed laugh, a low, pleasant sound that gave Yu Xiangsi a great sense of accomplishment. It meant her efforts and her research had not been in vain.

He reached out a hand toward her. "Come here."

She walked obediently to his side, and he pulled her onto his lap. She followed his lead, wrapping her arms around his neck in a submissive posture.

Ji Jing loved her docility.

He lowered his head to kiss her lips. It was strange; they had only been apart for a few hours, yet he felt a sudden, lingering attachment to her.

In truth, they had only known each other for three short days, yet in that time, they had become each other’s most intimate companions. Even in this era of fast-paced connections, where adult men and women often exchange bodies casually, Ji Jing felt that they were different.

There was an inexplicable sense of familiarity between them, as if they had known each other for a long time.

Yu Xiangsi let him kiss her, eventually leaning against his chest, breathless.

Her fingers traced circles on his chest as she teased, "Your secretary told me to strictly abide by my duties as an assistant and not to harbor any improper thoughts. She told me not to seduce you. But Mr. Ji, would you call this you seducing me?"

Ji Jing breathed shallowly, looking down at her hand as it toyed with his chest. A red bean bracelet hung on her wrist, making it look exceptionally fair and slender.

He lowered his head to kiss her lips again, whispering, "This is also part of your duty."

Ji Jing’s hand traced the skin of her waist. It was a hot day, and she was wearing a white shirt-dress. The thin fabric could not stop the heat of his palm, which had become quite bold.

Ji Jing’s mind began to wander, but Yu Xiangsi pushed him away and stood up.

"It’s my first day on the job. I don't want anything to happen between us in the office," Yu Xiangsi said with a stern, righteous look. "I’m here to work!"

Ji Jing raised an eyebrow. "It seems Assistant Yu has been thinking about what might happen in the office?"

Yu Xiangsi’s face turned bright red instantly.

*My mistake,* she chided herself. How could she try to out-flirt a man?
