Chapter 58: So You're the One Grabbing Territory, Huh? (Part Two)
At this moment, the twenty-seventh floor was in utter chaos. From the moment the top bodyguard made the first move, the situation spiraled out of control. The clash among dozens of men filled the entire floor with the sounds of combat.
Yet—
To everyone’s astonishment, Qi Xiaohu’s bodyguards, though outnumbered, fought like tigers descending the mountain, forcing the security guards into a relentless retreat.
In terms of skill and experience, Qi Xiaohu’s men completely overwhelmed Liu Long and his team in every aspect.
They were covered in blood and bruises, struggling to even fight back against these well-trained bodyguards.
At one point, they finally understood why Minister Guan had insisted on their martial stances from day one.
If a man lacks the means to fight, what right does he have to defend his territory?
Soon, all the security guards were pushed back to the stairwell. Some lay bleeding on the ground, others clutched their foreheads, their eyes still burning with unwillingness.
This should have been their domain, but now, it had been overtaken by others.
The bodyguard who had first struck a bow to Qi Xiaohu: “Young master, it’s all taken care of.”
Qi Xiaohu nodded, his gaze filled with satisfaction. No wonder these men had been sent abroad to a prestigious military academy at great expense.
With hands clasped behind his back, he arrogantly approached the office door. Even before entering, a mere glance out the floor-to-ceiling windows filled him with awe at the breathtaking view.
“If Li Yuyan were here, she’d be thrilled,” he murmured to himself, then patted the bodyguard on the shoulder. “Well done, A Long.”
“Thank you for your praise, young master,” A Long replied with a proud smile, bowing slightly.
Qi Xiaohu then glanced disdainfully at the group of security guards near the stairwell and sneered, “Next time you go out, keep your eyes open.”
“Don’t think that just because you have numbers, you can run wild. Like Miss Zhao said earlier, take a good look at yourselves—what a sorry sight.”
“Do you even deserve this high-end office building?”
“I don’t care who Minister Guan is or where he comes from. From now on, this place is my territory.”
“If you dare show your faces here again, next time you won’t be so lucky to leave unscathed.”
He sneered, dismissing them like stray dogs. “Get lost, all of you!”
“You pollute the air just by standing here.”
“Disgusting.”
“You smell awful.”
Every gesture, every word dripped with the eldest son of the Qi family’s contempt.
“Exactly,” Zhao Qingqing chimed in as she approached. “Young Master Qi, thank you for helping me.”
“If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t know how to deal with those scoundrels.”
“You’re so kind,” Zhao Qingqing cooed.
Qi Xiaohu smiled lightly. “No trouble at all. It was as easy as crushing a fly.”
From the bottom of his heart, he looked down on these security guards—nothing but dogs standing watch.
What right did they have to sit in a place meant for the upper class?
His attitude made Liu Long and the others grind their teeth in fury.
Looking at his wounded comrades behind him, Liu Long clenched his fists so tightly his bones cracked, his eyes bloodshot.
A Long, seeing Liu Long still lingering, narrowed his eyes. “Deaf?”
“Didn’t you hear our young master tell you to scram?”
“What are you still standing there for? Want another beating?”
He pointed a finger at Liu Long’s head.
Though Liu Long bore many wounds, he couldn’t just leave like this—how could he face Minister Guan?
They had chosen this place first; who gave these people the right to seize it?
And that receptionist had looked down on them from the first floor, clearly favoring these intruders.
What? Because they had power and influence, they could ignore all rules?
It was infuriating!
Unfair!
Why?
A surge of anger welled up in Liu Long’s head. Some nerve must have snapped because he stepped forward, pointing at A Long. “I’m not leaving. What are you going to do about it?”
“Oh?” A Long snorted coldly. “Looking for death?”
Qi Xiaohu sighed. “There are always a few reckless fools who like to stick their necks out.”
“A Long, give him a good lesson—cripple him!”
“Yes, sir!” A Long immediately advanced on Liu Long, his eyes cold as if looking at a corpse.
He rubbed his fists as he approached, utterly dismissive. “Kid, you’re asking for trouble.”
“I gave you chances—you refused them.”
“Since you insist on provoking me, don’t blame me.”
“Trash like you—I could take on ten of you at once without breaking a sweat.”
Exactly.
That feeling—crushing a fly with ease.
At that moment, Liu Long charged forward. “You think you’re so tough?”
“Come on!”
He raised his fist and aimed for A Long’s chest, but his speed was too slow. Just as he reached out, a huge hand clamped tightly onto his fist.
The next second—
A Long executed a perfect shoulder throw followed by a twisting leg move, slamming Liu Long to the ground.
With a heavy thud, Liu Long crashed onto the floor.
“Old Liu!”
“Old Liu!”
The other security guards’ faces turned pale with worry.
They rushed forward without hesitation.
But before they could take a step, A Long barked, “Stop right there!”
“If anyone dares come closer, I’ll break their arms.”
Swish, swish, swish!
All the guards froze in place, furious but powerless.
A Long chuckled and looked down at Liu Long on the ground.
Liu Long struggled, but the agonizing pain dulled his senses, making it impossible to rise.
Then—
The most humiliating scene unfolded.
A Long pressed his foot on Liu Long’s face, rubbing his shoe sole back and forth like stamping on a cigarette butt.
At that moment, Liu Long broke down, screaming hysterically, “You dog! Let go! Let go!”
He summoned every ounce of strength to get up but was crushed back down underfoot.
A Long shrugged. “Trash will always be trash.”
“I gave you chances, and you wasted them. Now you’re mad, huh?”
“I’ve seen plenty like you—people doomed to live at the bottom. Why bother picking a fight with our young master when you’re nothing?”
“So close your eyes, carry your humiliation, and become a cripple.”
With that, A Long raised an iron rod, aiming for Liu Long’s arm.
Swish!
He swung down with all his might.
But—
Just as everyone thought the blow would cripple Liu Long—
A figure rushed in like the wind!
“Bang!”
A massive hand instantly grabbed the iron rod.
Then came a thunderous warning:
“Anyone lays a hand on mine?”
“Do you want to die?”
